Do cold hands often ruin your enjoyment of skiing and snowboarding? You don’t have to feel like that anymore. We call it the RX, your Prescription for Warm Hands.
Description
Crafted with a newly designed gauntlet cuff these multi-use gloves deliver maximum functionality and warmth - in the widest range of weather conditions. We accomplish this with a design and materials that maximize breathability and grip texture - supple soft leather on the palm, pliable softshell on the back of the hand, and a removable liner packed with our proprietary dense Breathefil™ insulation. Removable liners give you the flexibility to remove, swap, or simply wear them (or the shells) standalone.

- FINEST LEATHER PALM– our premium cowhide leather is tanned and treated to be butter soft, and highly water-resistant for exceptional grip and dexterity.
- SOFTSHELL – waterproof, flexible, and ultra-breathable for optimum temperature versatility.
- NEW NEOPRENE CUFF - the re-designed cuff is soft and stretchy with an ultra-stretch hook and loop closure.
- REMOVABLE LINER – a smooth exterior encases super-soft fleece and Breathefil™ insulation for ultimate warmth and versatility. Easy to put-in/ take-out for faster drying, exchanging liners, and machine washing. No
separation between the fingers for optimum thermodynamics. - BREATHEFIL™ - we developed our proprietary insulation to minimize hand sweating by maximizing breathability. Trapped sweat triggers hands getting – and staying - cold. And because the insulation breathes so well and is dense, it allows us to pack more of it into the liners without compromising dexterity.

Between sizes?
- If you have longer fingers go with the larger size.
- If you have short or normal fingers go with the smaller size.
- If you like a roomier glove that will pack out less and be a bit warmer (more space for your hand to breathe), go with the larger size.
- If you like a glove that will break in more for optimum dexterity go with the smaller size.
- Most customers generally prefer the larger size.
A note about Free the Powder Gloves
Free the Powder gloves are made from soft cowhide leather and flexible, stretch softshell so they will break in more than most ski gloves. The leather is very grippy, so dexterity will not be adversely impacted by gloves that are a bit roomy. Our founder and head designer's original vision was a glove that could be warmer (and roomier) and still allow him to manipulate backcountry gear.
