Warranty

For the original buyer from freethepowder.com we guarantee our ski gloves to be free of manufacturing defects for 1-Year after purchase. Manufacturing defects pertain to structural deficiencies in the gloves. It does not include wear and tear or damage from use.

Warranty Claim Process:

  • We must see the item before any warranty determination is made. Please contact us and we will issue you a Warranty Return Authorization Number with return address. Customer is responsible for shipping the item to us. 
  • If the ski gloves you purchased from freethepowder.com has a covered defect, determined at our discretion, we will repair or replace the item, depending on the nature of the defect.
  • Normal warranty determination and return time is about 2 weeks from receiving the item during the ski season (November-March). Off-season (April-October) the time is about 8 weeks. 


Warranty Exclusions:

We do not warranty items against: 

  • Normal wear and tear (such as regular everyday use, ski edge cuts and abrasions).
  • General dissatisfaction with used product.
  • Sizing issues with used gloves.
  • Unauthorized modifications or alterations such as use of alternative leather treatments and substances or overuse of leather treatments.
  • Odor issues in used items.
  • Improper use, improper maintenance, accident, misuse, negligence, damage, or if the item is used for a purpose for which it was not designed (such as heavy rope tow use or rope work).
  • Our gloves are highly water-resistant, not water-proof. No ski gloves are "water-proof" so loss of water-resistance is not covered under warranty.
  • Leather has a unique odor, so dissatisfaction is not covered once used.
  • Warmth is subjective so it is not covered under warranty.
  • Past Season's ski glove models at closeout, Factory Seconds and accessory items are excluded from warranty. 

Warranty Decision:

We will investigate the claim and then decide at our discretion whether the product is eligible for warranty consideration.

Repairs or replacements will be made with products of at least equivalent quality if the product is no longer in stock.

Warranty Repairs:

In certain cases, we will repair the item. If a repair is not possible, a replacement will be considered. Repairs are carried out only to restore the original functionality and some components may be slightly different than the original.

Other Provisions:

  • All claims must be submitted within 30 days of discovery of the problem.
  • A replacement item does not trigger a new warranty period. The replacement item is provided to ensure product satisfaction for the remainder of the original warranty period for the original product.
